PCC is
offering a SCRIP order for the end of the school year. SCRIP is a
fundraising program where you pay face value for a variety of gift cards
and PCC earns a profit on each one. There are dozens of retailers
available, including gas stations, restaurants, and hotels. If you're
going to use these services anyway, why not order SCRIP? (Please be
aware that many hotel gift cards may not be used if you are already
getting a group rate; the details are available on the Great Lakes SCRIP
website). If you have any questions, please contact Lynn Michniewicz. Orders are due
May. 22 at the Session 4 practice. Give orders to Lynn or to the coaches.
What is SCRIP? Scrip is a term that means, "substitute money".
When you purchase scrip through Cruisers, you are basically purchasing
gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by
many of the stores where your family already shops. SCRIP is redeemed at the issuing store as though it is cash.
Why should I participate: Participation
will help Cruisers. One hundred percent of the profit will
benefit all of the swimmers. Scrip discounts range from 1% to 19%,
so if you order $100 from a retailer who offers a 10% discount, PCC earns
$10.00. You get a $100 gift card or certificate. Fundraising
doesn't get much easier!
How do I participate: Follow the Ordering Procedures listed
below.
- Print the
PCC Scrip Order Form.
- Go to Great Lakes Scrip at
www.glscrip.com and browse
through the many retailers that are offered. Check out the special
holiday discounts, too.
- Complete the order form, including RETAILER NAME,
DENOMINATION (some offer more than one), NUMBER OF THAT DENOMINATION,
and TOTAL for that retailer. Please put one retailer per line and
total your order.
- Turn in your order and a check made payable to PCC
to the Scrip folders at the pool by by the due date.
- You will be notified via e-mail and the PCC
Website when orders are in. Pick up will be in person at the pools.
If you have any questions, please email
Lynn Michniewicz.
