Andrew Ciesielski - Lead Assistant Coach
/ Lead Senior Development Coach -
chileswim@yahoo.com
Andrew,
or better known on the pool deck as Totti or Chile, returns to PCC for
another exciting year of magical discovery. A fruitful competitive swim
career was accomplished before and during his tenure as a swim coach.
Learning how to swim in the neighborhood lake, he began his aquatic
skills at a young age. He spent his formidable years at the Sports Club
of West Bloomfield and remained there until his high school career came
to a close. He attended Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills
ending as an 8-time All-American. Shortly after graduating from Rice, he
made his collegiate debut with Eastern Michigan University helping to
add 3 consecutive MAC titles to the school record books. Andrew has over
seven years experience with age group swimmers and was the head coach of
Woodbrooke Hills Swim Club in Farmington Hills where he coached numerous
individual league winners and club record holders. With 2006 being his
first full season at Crusiers, he produced his first National Top 16
finalist. Andrew graduated from EMU with a certification in High School
Education in Communication and Theater Arts as well as Spanish. He can
best be identified by his hallmark sunglasses and unique arrangement of
clothing styles.

Kurt Hornick - Lead Junior Group Coach -
kurt@hancockent.com
Kurt comes “back” to the
Cruisers with a touch more experience under his belt. A lifelong
Cruiser, Kurt has achieved many things since his swimming career started
with the Cruisers in 7th grade. In High School, he was a 4 year letter
winner and 4 year state qualifier with Plymouth-Canton High School . He
graduated in ’99 and moved “up” to Michigan Technological University .
Unfortunately, MTU did not have a swim team, but that did not discourage
Kurt. He supervised the lifeguard, intramural water polo, and community
swim lessons programs. In his last couple of years, he founded the swim
club of MTU and earned his Michigan Tech Coaching Certificate by student
coaching with the Cruisers. Kurt also helped the Cruisers in a pinch
when they needed a substitute head coach in the Summer of ’03. A
Bachelors of Science graduate in Computer Engineering and Business
Administration, Kurt works as an assistant plant manager for Hancock
Enterprises, Inc. in Taylor, MI. A seasoned Cruisers veteran, Kurt is
looking forward to working with all of the great individuals that are a
part of this outstanding team, and he is very excited to see all of the
great successes, achievements, and experiences working with the
Cruisers. THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE “HOME!” |

Anne Nepiuk - Lead Junior Development
Coach -
nepiuka@pccs.k12.mi.us
This is
my fifth season coaching with Cruisers. I started swimming when I was 7
years old for Colony Swim Club. I began swimming Cruisers at age 8 and
swam for Mercy High School. I graduated from Michigan State University
in Child Development. I am in my second year of teaching second grade at
Field Elementary School in Canton. I love working with young children.
Kids at a young age have the ability to absorb so much into their
minds. My goal is to give them knowledge in swimming and inspire them
to be the best the can be, while having fun in everything they do,
especially swimming!

Jenny Miller -
Assistant Coach -
Jmille10@emich.edu
My name is
Jenny Miller. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I started
swimming when I was 5 years old for my local private swim club league in
the elite group of 5-6’s known as the Cookie Monsters. Every summer I
swam for my private swim club and then one summer a parent introduced me
to a local club coach whom she thought I should talk to about swimming
year round. The summer I turned thirteen, I joined Cincinnati Aquatic
Club and swam throughout the rest of high school there while continuing
to swim for my private swim club, for fun, in the summers. I was an
Ohio State qualifier all four years of high school, and was a co-captain
my senior year. I continued swimming when I decided to go to college at
Eastern Michigan University. I was a part of the first ever women’s
swimming and diving MAC championship team my junior year, and my senior
year we were repeat champions. I graduated April 30th, 2007 with a B.S.
in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. The first couple of years of
college I was a lifeguard in the summers and taught swim lessons with
young children. The past two summers I assistant coached for the Mason
Water Moccasins Swim Team, helping out with the 4-5 year olds to the
15-18 year old groups. I enjoy teaching kids how to swim at all
different levels because I think it is a very important skill to master. |

Ben Dzialo is
a new coach for Cruisers, but he is neither new to the swimming world

considered himself a Plymouth-Canton Cruiser.
In his swim career, he has swum for over 30 different coaches of all
ranges of skill levels. In addition, he has taught swim lessons for
over five years. His love of coaching is rooted in his obsession with
technique and fitness.
Ben graduated
from Yale University with a BA in History of Science, History of
Medicine and is currently applying to med school. Please feel free to
contact Ben if you know of any openings as a daytime assistant in the
medical field. In college, he broke the 200-yard butterfly varsity
record for Yale and received the Academic All-Ivy Award. |
